Film formation is the critical property for paint and coatings applications; without it paints chip, peel and crack. Film formation is achieved by the use of coalescing agents. Some coalescing agents function by volatilizing out of the coating and others remain part of the coating. Genovique has a number of recommendations balanced to your performance requirements. Our Velate® and Benzoflex® esters are very compatible with typical coating polymers.
